Graduate Programs at Batten University

Batten University offers six master's degree programs with rolling admission, no GRE or GMAT required, and flexible full-time or part-time scheduling. Five programs are fully online; one is offered on campus. All are designed for working professionals ready to take the next step.

How to Apply

Complete Your Application

Submit the Batten University online application. A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required for all graduate programs.

Send Official Transcripts

Provide official academic transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities previously attended. A cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher is required — both overall and at the institution where your bachelor's degree was awarded.

Up to 12 graduate credits may be transferred. The M.A.Ed. program accepts transfer credits only under exceptional circumstances.

Program-Specific Requirements

Applicants must have completed Microeconomics or Macroeconomics, Statistics, and Financial Accounting. Students missing one or more prerequisites may be provisionally admitted and can complete them through Batten Online undergraduate courses or through Ivy Software non-credit courses.

  • Cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.8
  • Bachelor's degree in the educational field
  • Teaching license or a current teaching position
  • Completed application essay

Conditional acceptance is available: students may take two courses without the 2.8 GPA, but must earn a B or higher in each to continue. Applicants without a teaching license must hold a full-time position teaching in a Pre-K–12 setting.

  • Bachelor's degree in the endorsement area in which you hope to teach
  • Cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.8
  • Passing scores on the VCLA

This is a full-time, on-campus program. Cohorts begin each May.

Open to all undergraduate majors. The department strongly recommends prior coursework in statistics, upper-level natural sciences, and business or economics. Students without an undergraduate statistics course may wish to complete one before taking ENVS 525.

Both programs are open to students with any undergraduate major. Meet the general admission requirements above and you're eligible. No GRE or GMAT required.
