Bluegrass Band Town Mountain Performs Live

The five-piece band plays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29 in the Hofheimer Theater.

altNorfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan College Concert Series presents Town Mountain in an adrenaline-filled blend of aggressive bluegrass and roots-country on Friday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Hofheimer Theater on the College campus.

The Asheville-based group is winner of Colorado’s prestigious Rockygrass Band Competition as well as a showcase spot at the International Bluegrass Music Awards (Nashville). Between non-stop cross-country touring, they’ve recorded two lyrically rich albums.

Tickets for the concert are free to the VWC community; $10 for adults; and $5 for seniors/military/students. Reservations may be made by calling 757.455.2101.

The 2010-11 Fine Arts series at Virginia Wesleyan College offers an exciting array of events for the college community and all of Hampton Roads.  From ever-changing installations in the Neil Britton Art Gallery in Hofheimer Library and the Barclay Sheaks Gallery in Godwin Hall, to main stage productions of contemporary plays by Christopher Durang and Lisa Loomer in Hofheimer Theater, plus more than a dozen exhilarating vocal and instrumental concerts, the Arts at Virginia Wesleyan are dedicated to stimulating the senses and broadening the liberal arts experience.
