Student Organizations

With 40+ organizations spanning academics, arts, athletics, culture, faith, and service, there's something here for everyone and always room to start something new. From the award-winning Marlin Chronicle to honor societies and Fraternity and Sorority Life, getting involved with a student organization is one of the best ways to meet people, grow as an individual, and get more out of your Batten University experience.

Reach out to the Student Leader via email or find the organization on Instagram to learn how to get involved.

Start a New Student Organization

Don’t see what you’re looking for? You’re welcome to start something new. Use the active student organization request form to get started. All new student organizations must meet the following requirements:

  • 5 or more active members who are currently enrolled at the University (fraternities, sororities, and honor societies may have fewer)
  • A mission statement or description of purpose
  • A faculty or staff advisor (full- or part-time employee of Batten University, not a student) to guide and support the organization — the Office of Student Engagement can help identify one if needed
  • An Executive Board with at minimum two officers that indicates a chain of command (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary is recommended)
  • An up-to-date constitution — a template is available and can be submitted as part of the online registration process

For more information, refer to the Student Organization Manual.
