Your Advisor Is In Your Corner
Every student at Batten University is assigned an academic advisor before their first semester. First-year and undeclared students work with professional Academic Advisors in University Advising. Once you declare a major, you transition to a Faculty Advisor in your discipline.
Your advisor helps you build a degree plan, choose courses, navigate degree requirements, and connect you to the right resources when you need them. The relationship runs from orientation through your final graduation check.

Tutoring, Writing, and More
The Learning Center coordinates academic support services across the university. Whether you’re stuck on a specific concept, working through a writing assignment, or preparing for an exam, there’s help available — from people who actually know the material.
- Subject Tutoring — peer tutors available for most courses, fall and spring semesters
- Writing Studio — professional consultants and peer writing tutors for any stage of the writing process

- Testing Center — alternate testing facilities for students with accommodations

The Center for Neurodiversity and Career Development supports neurodivergent students with personalized resources designed around how they actually learn and work. The Center doesn’t try to fit students into a standard mold — it builds the support around the student.
The Center also works with faculty, staff, and community partners to foster a more inclusive and supportive campus environment for everyone.

Accommodations & Support
The Disability Services Office works with students to verify documentation, determine eligibility, and arrange the academic accommodations they're entitled to under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Accommodations don't happen automatically — you need to register and provide documentation. The earlier you reach out, the smoother the process.
