Every year, Virginia Wesleyan College offers prospective students the opportunity to check out the campus and meet faculty, staff and students through a special VWC Day open house.
Offered three times each year in the fall, winter and spring, VWC Days include tours of the campus led by student ambassadors and a department fair where students can meet faculty members from majors in which they are interested. In addition, representatives will be available to answer questions about financial aid, admissions, student activities, residence life and more. There are also special Q&A panels that provide information for parents and students.

Kristen Butts ’10 from Arlington, Va., attended VWD Day and said her experience solidified her decision to attend Virginia Wesleyan.
“I had a great experience getting acquainted with the campus and everyone I met that day was friendly and helpful,” said Butts. “Knowing that day that I was accepted eased my worries and having that acceptance paired with a great tour and financial aid seminar let me know that my best choice was also an affordable one. VWC Day was a worthwhile experience and a turning point in my search for colleges.”

Another important aspect to VWC Day is that students have the opportunity to interact with current Virginia Wesleyan students.
"VWC Day is a great way for prospective students to connect with our students," said Tanya Williams, senior associate director of admissions. "When prospective students actually set foot on our campus, they get a sense of the community we have at Virginia Wesleyan and often make friends."
Williams encourages students attending VWC Day to ask the tour guides and current students about their college experience at Virginia Wesleyan.
"At Virginia Wesleyan, we embrace all of our students and we are a diverse campus that accepts students from a variety of ethnicities and faiths," said Williams. "Ask any of our students, and they'll tell you what it's like to be a part of the Virginia Wesleyan family."
