English Honor Society Welcomes New Students

Seven students joined Sigma Tau Delta on Tuesday, April 6.

Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. - Virginia Wesleyan College inducted seven new student members into Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society, on Tuesday, April 6, in the Pearce Hospitality Suite.

Sigma Tau Delta members hope to increase student awareness of activities in the field of English and serve society through literacy, language, literature and writing. To become a member of Sigma Tau Delta, students must have a minimum of 3.0 overall GPA; maintain a minimal 3.0 GPA in English courses; have taken at least three English courses beyond the 105 level requirement, with at least one of those courses being at the 300 level or above; and submit a recommendation letter from a member of the English faculty and a statement of interest.
