Holiday Closings, Admissions Office and Financial Aid Open on Select Days

High school and transfer students can visit the College campus over the holidays: December 21 – 23 and December 28-30.

Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. - Virginia Wesleyan College will close for two weeks, from Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 through Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, to observe the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The College will reopen for regular business on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010.

During this campus-wide closing, some offices and services WILL be open to serve prospective and current students.

Office of Admissions

  • 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on the Mondays and Tuesdays before Christmas (Dec. 21 and 22) and New Year’s (Dec. 28 and 29). Campus tours will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on each of these days.
  • 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. on the Wednesdays before Christmas (Dec. 23) and New Year’s (Dec. 30).  Campus tours will be offered at 10:30 a.m. only on each of these days.

Financial Aid

A Financial Aid representative will be available from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on the Mondays and Tuesdays before Christmas (Dec. 21 and 22) and New Year’s (Dec. 28 and 29). Students can make an appointment by calling 757.455.3345 or e-mailing financialaid@vwu.edu.


Business Office

The Business Office will have representatives available from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on the Mondays and Wednesdays before Christmas (Dec. 21 and 23) and New Year’s (Dec. 28 and 30). The Business Office may be contacted at 757.455.3280.


College Switchboard

  • 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on the Mondays and Tuesdays before Christmas (Dec. 21 and 22) and New Year’s (Dec. 28 and 29).
  • 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on the Wednesdays before Christmas (Dec. 23) and New Year’s (Dec. 30).

A receptionist will be available to take calls and answers questions.  The College Switchboard may be contacted at 757.455.3200.


Web Registration

Web registration is available for students currently enrolled at Virginia Wesleyan.  Students must be released by a faculty adviser to register.

Winter Session begins on Monday, Jan. 4, and the spring 2010 semester begins on Monday, Jan. 25.
