Future Marlins and their families visited Virginia Wesleyan University on October 22 for a look at life on campus during the University's fall Marlins Day Open House.

The day began with tours of Wesleyan's beautiful 300-acre campus, followed by a welcome session in the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center with remarks from Vice President for Enrollment Heather Campbell '04. A panel session for students and parents followed, featuring representatives from University leadership, academics, athletics, and the student body.

Throughout the morning, visitors explored campus, met VWU faculty and staff, and learned about academic offerings, scholarships, and the financial aid process. For the first time, prospective students and their families were able to experience a demonstration of VWU’s newly acquired Anatomage Table, a high-tech virtual dissection tool.

An Academic & Student Resource Fair took place in the Jane P. Batten Student Center, and auditions for the VWU Fine and Performing Arts were held in the Watts Lobby of the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center. Guests also had the opportunity to watch Marlin Men’s and Women’s Soccer in action and enjoy lunch in Boyd Dining Center.

The next Marlins Day Open House is scheduled for February 18, 2023.
