Princeton Review Names Virginia Wesleyan College among the “Best in the Southeast”
The College’s faculty, academic program and quality of campus life have been ranked among the best in the country.

Virginia Wesleyan College is one of the best colleges in the Southeast, according to the latest survey by The Princeton Review.
Virginia Wesleyan is listed as one of 133 institutions in the “Best in the Southeast” section, which includes twelve states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
For this project, 122,000 students across the nation were asked to rate their own schools on several issues -- from the accessibility of their professors to quality of the campus food -- and answer questions about themselves, their fellow students, and their campus life.
"If you are looking for the quintessential small college experience, you’ll find a good match at Virginia Wesleyan College,” said one student responder. “Students at this liberal arts school benefit from small class sizes, personal attention, and a friendly and fun learning environment for everyone on campus.”
According to Robert Franek, Senior Vice President-Publisher of The Princeton Review, "from hundreds of institutions we received in each region, we selected colleges and universities primarily for their excellent academic programs. We also took into account what students attending the schools reported to us about their campus experiences on our student survey for this project. Our "regional best" colleges constitute only 25% of the national four-year colleges - a select group, indeed."
