Virginia Wesleyan to Host NCAA Tournament's Opening Rounds
VWC men's basketball Marlins will be home for the early rounds of the upcoming NCAA Division III men's championship tournament.

(INDIANAPOLIS) Virginia Wesleyan College (23-4), making its 11th NCAA tournament appearance and seventh in a row under the leadership of head coach David Macedo, will host a four-game competition beginning Friday, March 4. The winners will play on Saturday, March 5, with that winner moving on to the sectionals.
Visiting the Virginia Beach campus for the competition will be Delaware Valley College (17-10), the Freedom Conference champion; perennial power Franklin & Marshall College (22-5), the Centennial Conference champion; and North Carolina Wesleyan College (21-6), the USA South Athletic Conference champion. Franklin & Marshall will face NCWC in a 5:30 p.m. game on Friday, followed by VWC and Delaware Valley at 7:30 p.m..
This is an NCAA sponsored event, which means a ticket is mandatory for admission. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students, including college students, and children 3 and above. Children 2 and under will be admitted free.
Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, March 2, from 12 until 4 p.m. at the VWC business office located in the hall between the Batten Center and the Boyd Dining Center. Tickets will also be sold from the business office from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday. On Friday, tickets will be sold from the business offic until 3:30 p.m., when sales will be moved to the Batten Center ticket window outside of the gymnasium.
