Academic Alert System

The Academic Alert System allows faculty and staff to flag students who may be experiencing academic difficulty and connect them with the support services they need — advising, tutoring, and counseling. The system is strictly non-punitive. Reporting and recordkeeping are designed to help students succeed, not to penalize them.

When an alert is submitted, the Academic Alert Team intervenes directly with the student, notifying them of the alert and linking them with relevant academic resources.

Who submits alerts? Faculty and staff submit alerts on behalf of students who have given them cause for concern. Students do not submit alerts on themselves.

How to Submit an Academic Alert

Complete the Academic Alert Form to log a student concern. Once submitted, the Academic Alert Team will reach out to the student and connect them with the appropriate support.
