Sarah joined Virginia Wesleyan University as a Therapist in February 2026, after serving as a Counseling Intern in VWU’s Counseling Center during the 2024-2025 academic year. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland in 2022 and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University in 2025.

Prior to returning to Virginia Wesleyan, Sarah worked as a Resident in Counseling in a private practice setting, providing therapy to adults and couples from diverse backgrounds and life stages. Sarah is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating body image concerns, disordered eating patterns, and eating disorders. She has received extensive training in eating disorder treatment and has experience providing care at the outpatient level, supporting clients across various stages of recovery.

She utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), to understand each client’s unique experiences and empower them to move toward a life aligned with their values. Her work is also informed by Health at Every Size (HAES) and intuitive eating principles to support body-trust and peace with food.
