Through established partnerships, Batten University students have access to competitive internship programs beyond the traditional job search — including opportunities at an international defense innovation hub right here in Hampton Roads and a full-semester program in Washington, D.C.
NATO Innovation Hub Internship
Norfolk, Virginia · Competitive · All Majors WelcomeAs part of Batten University’s partnership with NATO-ACT, students may apply to intern at NATO’s Innovation Hub in Norfolk, Virginia. The Innovation Hub drives creative thinking and emerging concepts across NATO, overseeing a wide range of projects where students from virtually any academic background can contribute.
Who Should Apply
The program is open to all majors at Batten University. The Innovation Hub especially welcomes students from the following fields — though every discipline is encouraged to apply:

Washington Internship Institute
Washington, D.C. · Semester or Summer · Academic CreditThe Washington Internship Institute (WII) places students in internships in Washington, D.C. while earning Batten University academic credit. It’s a chance to gain real professional experience at the center of policy, law, media, public affairs, and more — for a full semester or over the summer.
