Lifelong Learning at Westminster-Canterbury

The Batten University Lifelong Learning Institute at Westminster-Canterbury brings university-level learning to residents of Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay through a unique academic partnership. Courses in art, history, political science, psychology, religion, popular culture, and more are taught by Batten University faculty — offered at no cost to Westminster-Canterbury members, both on-site and on the Batten University campus.

Westminster-Canterbury residents also receive complimentary admission to Batten University facilities, plays, concerts, lectures, and athletic events. (Post-season NCAA tournament play requires a ticket.)

The Institute is a component of Batten University Global Campus. Programming is coordinated by Dr. Ben Fraser, Westminster-Canterbury Fellow for Religious Studies and Lifelong Learning, in collaboration with the Robert Nusbaum Center. Several courses are offered each semester, with roughly half covering faith-related topics.
