Payment Options
Various payment options including eCheck, credit card, and payment plans can be found in the student portal, MyBeacon, under Bill Payment.
eCheck Payments
Payments can be made online through MyBeacon using an electronic check (eCheck). Follow the prompts under Bill Payment. Batten University does not accept corporate checks, home equity checks, or traveler's checks. All returned eChecks are subject to a $45 returned check fee.
Credit Card Payments
Credit card payments can be made online through MyBeacon under Bill Payment. Credit and debit card payments are processed through PayPath®, a tuition payment service. A non-refundable service fee of 2.85% from PayPath® will be added to your payment.
Check Payments
To mail a check, make it payable to Batten University, Office of Finance and Administration and mail to 5817 Wesleyan Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. Cash or check payments can also be made in person in the Office of Finance and Administration, located in Boyd. All returned checks are subject to a $45 fee.
Payment Plans
Batten University offers an interest-free monthly payment plan for tuition, fees, and room and board. Students or authorized users can enroll online through MyBeacon under Bill Payment.
- Undergraduate Students — log into MyBeacon to view 4 or 5-month payment plan options under Bill Payment. There is a $50 setup fee per semester. Each installment equally divides your semester balance.
- Online and Graduate Students — log into MyBeacon to view your 2-month plan option under Bill Payment. There is a setup fee of $25 per mini-session or $50 per semester. Each plan option is labeled "estimated" to allow you to enter amounts per session.
Pending Items
All financial aid is listed as pending at the beginning of each semester. Financial Aid will finalize all awards after the drop/add period ends — typically the second week of the semester.
Late Fees
All payments not covered by Financial Aid, loans, or a payment plan must be received in full by the due date to avoid a late fee.
